Who We Are

If you need to contact us regarding an order, please use the details above.

Products

  • We supply custom-made number plates and show plates created to your specification.
  • As each item is made to order, minor variations in appearance may occur.
  • It is your responsibility to ensure all registration details, spelling and spacing are correct before confirming your order.

Prices and Payment

  • All prices are displayed in pounds sterling (GBP) and include VAT where applicable.
  • Full payment is required at the time of ordering via our secure checkout.
  • We reserve the right to change prices at any time. However, you will always pay the price shown at checkout when placing your order.

Delivery

  • We deliver to UK addresses only.
  • Delivery costs and estimated timeframes are shown at checkout.
  • While we aim to dispatch orders within the stated timeframe, delays may occur due to circumstances outside our control.
  • If there is a significant delay, we will contact you as soon as possible.

Cancellations and Returns

  • As all plates are custom-made to your specification, we cannot accept returns or cancellations once production has started or the order has been dispatched, unless the item is faulty or not as ordered.
  • Please double-check your order carefully before confirming, as changes cannot usually be made once production begins.
  • Once payment has been processed, transaction fees are incurred and production documentation is generated. For this reason, if a cancellation is agreed before production, a small administration fee may be deducted from any refund to cover incurred costs.

Faulty or Damaged Goods

  • If your order arrives faulty, damaged, or incorrect, you must contact us within 7 days of delivery.
  • Please email info@shazmotors.com with clear photographs and your order details.
  • Where an issue is confirmed, we will arrange a replacement or refund, including reasonable return postage where applicable.

Personal Information

  • We use your personal information only to process your order, verify documentation where required, deliver your products, and provide customer support.
  • We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
  • Further details can be found in our Privacy Policy.

Our Responsibility

  • We are responsible for supplying products that match the details of your confirmed order.
  • We are not responsible for losses that were not caused by our breach of these terms.
  • We are not liable for business losses, including loss of profit or revenue.
  • Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights under UK consumer law.

Road-Legal Plates and Show Plates

PlatedUp supplies both fully road-legal number plates and show plates. It is your responsibility to select the correct product.
Road-Legal Number Plates For road-legal plates, we are required by DVLA regulations to verify both your identity and your entitlement to the registration number before production.
You will be required to provide:
Proof of identity, such as:

  • UK driving licence
  • Passport
  • Utility bill or bank statement

Proof of entitlement to the registration, such as:
  • V5C logbook (vehicle registration certificate)
  • V750 Certificate of Entitlement
  • V778 Retention Document
  • V948 Authorisation Certificate
  • Or other official DVLA documentation
After placing your order, you should expect to receive an email or message from us requesting the required documents.
Your order will not be processed until all requested documents have been received and verified. Any delay in providing documentation will delay production.
Road-legal plates will include all legally required markings, including supplier details and British Standard information.

Show Plates

We also supply show plates intended strictly for off-road use, exhibitions, display vehicles, photography, and decorative purposes.

  • No DVLA documentation is required for show plates.
  • They may not include legally required supplier details or British Standard markings.
  • Spacing, font style and formatting may differ from UK road regulations.
  • Show plates must not be used on public roads.
By purchasing show plates, you accept full responsibility for ensuring they are used in compliance with the law.
